Important information re COVID-19.
Dear guests old and new, we can’t wait to welcome you into our salon. We have booked in our full waiting lists and are now able to welcome new guests!
Please read the below information thoroughly. This information will be updated regularly in line with the latest government guidance. By attending your appointment, you are confirming that you agree to the following advice and guidelines.
Please make sure you familiarise yourself with our new working practices which set out how we will continue to deliver an excellent service, whilst ensuring your safety and the safety of our staff.
As a hair and beauty salon specialising in bespoke and clinical treatments, we were already delivering an incredibly high level of cleanliness. We’re also incredibly lucky that we have an abundance of space and are able to provide social distancing in luxury!
We were already:
Washing our hands in between treatments
Cleaning down units regularly
Using disposable gloves where needed
Cleaning the toilet facilities regularly
Regularly cleaning down “touch points” such as products, surfaces, door handles etc
Disinfecting our tools
Washing towels between all uses
Providing and washing hand towels
In addition to our high standards set out above, we will implement the following:
On arrival you’ll be greeted with a smile, antibacterial gel and an antibacterial wipe for phones, keys etc (no hugs unfortunately!)
Masks are not currently mandatory, however we have a stock of government standard, cotton masks that are available to wear throughout your appointment for anyone who would like this service.
You’ll be shown to your stylist’s work station, which will feature a sanitisation station (more antibac gel and wipes!)
Your coats and bags will remain with you- don’t worry, we have installed hooks for you to hang these where you are sitting, we don’t expect you to put things on the floor!
Stylists will wash their hands in between every service and will be wearing a visor and a disposable apron.
All equipment (combs, brushes, gloves, gowns etc) will have been sterilised (where applicable) and placed in individual sealed bags.
We have spaced out our units to maintain social distancing.
We will only have one backwash in use at any time.
We have temporarily removed some units and created a walkway on one side of the salon to maintain social distancing when moving around.
Each work station will be sanitised between use.
Every stylist has their own set of products and these will be cleaned between use.
We will be using biodegradable, disposable towels.
We will take payments and make future bookings from the comfort of your station- we now have a mobile card terminal. We would encourage you to pay by card, where possible. If you would prefer to go completely contactless we can provide you with bank transfer details (this will need to be completed on site).
Colouring and development time.
We have rearranged our relaxation room to ensure social distancing is maintained while you are waiting for your colour to develop.
Each relaxation station will be sanitised between use.
Any drinks will be served in disposable cups. (These are recyclable, we’re still doing our bit for the environment!).
What we’re asking of you…
You will see that there is a laminated ‘I’m newly cleaned’ sign on the bathroom. Please remove this on entering and this will indicate to a staff member that the area needs sanitising. We will be sanitising the room between each use, but can only do this if you help us by removing the sign, to let us know! Hand towels will be washed and placed into individual bags and we ask you place all used hand towels into the pedal bin provided to be washed/sterilised.
Please respect each other’s space and make use the social distancing measures we have put in place.
If you would like to read/work in your colour development time, please bring your own material (we can provide plugs and WiFi but can’t provide magazines).
Please try and arrive on time as our waiting capacity is compromised. If your stylist is running behind, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Please arrive alone as we are unable to welcome friends and family whilst maintaining social distancing (if this is not possible, please get in touch to arrange, we will do our best to accomodate but must be notified in advance).
Please don’t attend your appointment if you have been abroad within the last 14 days, or are feeling unwell/experiencing any of the COVID-19 symptoms. We’ll happily rearrange you, but please try and contact us as soon as possible so we can make use of our waiting list!
If you haven’t booked an appointment, we ask that you contact us by phone, email or social media, rather than walking in.
If you would like to take home your aftercare products, please allow a member of staff to collect your items, sanitise them and package them for you.
We are so pleased to be able to continue to offer you the luxury of space and relaxation during these times. We have updated our service menu to reflect our exciting and ongoing changes, as well as the increased costs of goods, PPE and reduction of work capacity. We’d love you to have a browse of our ‘meet the team’ page and our new menu.
